At last we can report that the home in Kathmandu has been set up. Two girls, Rachana and Namuna moved in on 28 April. They have come from Dhanusa where they have suffered the consequences of the conflict that is present in the Terai. The other two girls Priya and Nilu will move in later in the week. The purpose is to provide a secure environment and the facilities to advance their education.

It has been quite an expensive exercise preparing the house, approximately NRps 115000

We have been able to offer help to a junior school in Dhanusa (see the December newsletter). A junior school in Brixham very kindly donated football shirts, Nonsuch in Cheam gave a variety of very useful classroom materials. Money donated by Tower House was used to buy some sports equipment in Nepal for the school.
