The last few months have been spent busily promoting Ashraya Nepal in
the UK, selling Nepali purses, cards etc to raise money. We have been
given a lot of support by a number of people. In June there was an evening
concert, "Music for a Summer's Evening", given at Nonsuch School
in aid of the charity. The evening was a collaboration of the school's
Music Department and the group Classical
Folk ; it was a great success. Other events included cream teas in
Paignton and talks at a number of schools in Devon.
In Kathmandu the four girls in the home have settled down in their new
home and are making good progress.
We are investigating the possibility to extend our assistance to another
school in the Terai with a larger age range.
